“Notes to Self” is an installation, which addresses the problem of cognitive biases.
Cognitive biases are systematic errors in thinking that affect the decisions and judgments which people make; they can lead to discrimination, prejudice, racism. For instance Confirmation bias is the tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms one’s preexisting beliefs or hypotheses.
Installation artwork “Notes to Self” is a set of designed objects creating working space. Each object is designed to have a message — rules how to fight cognitive biases. The artwork sets up an environment where people constantly remind themselves to accept different people and opinions different from their own.
